With stock footage and an ear for cliches, it's not hard to make fun of the B movies of yesteryear, more specifically the Poverty Row (PRC, Monogram) product of the 1940s, making up usefully time-killing double features. Serenity's comedic ability combined with sexiness is diverting.
Morgan predictably opts for plenty of low humor and slapstick, with Anthony Crane and Randy Spears fitting the bill for clumsiness. Corny tough guy movies, Tarzan movies and low-budget mysteries are chief targets of both the features "Stab in the Dark" and "Mo Mo the Jungle Guy" and silly coming attractions from the studio Cheesy Pictures International, whose logo oddly (accidentally I'm sure) resembles that of venerable drive-in distributor Crown Intl. Pictures.
All-star cast would have helped, but sexy turns by Raylynn, Bridgette Kerkove and Tabitha Stevens are effective.
