Backstory: Bus Stop (2001)
Actors Don Murray and Hope Lange, film historian James Spada, Monroe biographer Donald Spoto and screenwriter George Axelrod are the people interviewed for this episode, which takes a look at BUS STOP, the motion picture that was to show movie crowds a new Monroe.
If you're a fan of the series then there's no question that you'll enjoy hearing the various stories told about the production. Of course, the majority of the running time is devoted to the various issues Monroe was having at the time including her new "method" acting and what type of drama this here caused on the set of the film. Both Murray and Lang were in the film and had their own battles with the star so it was great getting to hear directly from them.
