Before moving to Brazil, director Ype Nakashima fought in WWII. He survived the bombing of Nagasaki while working as an airplane observer.
Produced by a small crew of Japanese Brazilians who received their animation training on the job.
Animation assistant Hoji Sakaguchi started working in this production when he was only 16 years old. He got the job because director Ype Nakashima was impressed by his poster-size drawings of famous Brazilian rock singers of the 1960s.
