Six episodes were provided prior to broadcast.
Netflix’s first foray into adult-oriented animated comedy, the bizarre and touching Hollywood satire BoJack Horseman, only really came into its own earlier this year, during a vastly improved (and much darker) second season. Progressing from clever amusement to excellent character study, the show somehow succeeded in at once being one of television’s most rawly hilarious comedies, and one of its most poignant, occasionally soul-crushing dramas. Its brilliance has not yet been fully observed by the masses but, with a third season on the way, there’s still time for more people to catch on.
Now, with something like BoJack in its programming stable, Netflix set the bar exceedingly high for future animated originals, and it’s admittedly tough to watch F Is For Family, created by stand-up comedian Bill Burr alongside Simpsons writer Michael Price, without comparing the two. But luckily for the streaming service,...

DreamWorks Studios has closed a preemptive deal to acquire the film rights to Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin’s soon-to-be-released book, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism, it was announced today by Stacey Snider, Partner and Co-Chair at DreamWorks Studios. Goodwin previously collaborated with the studio on the critically acclaimed and award-winning Lincoln, based in part on Goodwin’s #1 New York Times bestselling Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.
Goodwin’s The Bully Pulpit will be released November 5, 2013 by Simon & Schuster. The book, seven years in the making, tells the riveting story of two longtime friends who become bitter political opponents. Roosevelt’s fighting spirit and impulsive temperament stood in counterpoint to Taft’s deliberative, conciliatory disposition. Yet, their opposing qualities proved complementary, allowing them to create a rare camaraderie and productive collaboration until their brutal fight for...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
The Walking Dead has taken the world by storm, against all odds becoming the highest rated cable show (and one of the highest rated overall shows) during its third season. Between the timeless appeal of zombies and the psychological complexities exposed by humanity in the absence of civilization, The Walking Dead has something to appeal to everybody–assuming that everybody has the stomach for the occasional evisceration or two.
The much-awaited premiere to the fourth season, an episode entitled “30 Days Without an Accident,” aired last night in the United States. There were zombies, there was psychology…and yes, there were a few eviscerations. After all, this is The Walking Dead. (Spoiler alert: the second episode is not going to be called “31 Days Without an Accident.”)
Warning: Do not read if you have not seen the season premiere. This will spoil you. A lot…

Foyle’s War
Kieran Kinsella
Last year, Acorn Media surprised some people but delighted many when they acquired the rights to ITV’s hit drama Foyle’s War. As part of the deal, Acorn persuaded Michael Kitchen and co. to sign on for a new series of the show which will air later this year. As long suffering fans will know, it has been three whole years since a new episode of the show hit the airwaves but you can refresh your memory of all things Foyle related by purchasing Acorn’s latest DVD boxset release. Foyle’s War: The Home Front Files includes all 22 previously broadcast episodes of the show. Acorn previously released the seven seasons of the UK show in six smaller DVD sets and alongside this mammoth boxset they are also re-releasing each of those sets in new slimline 3 or 4 disc packages.

In the newest "Good Wife" episode, some stuff happened blahblah Alderman blahblah Grace video blahblah new firm -- but the big news is ... Alicia found out about the voicemail. Dun dun dun.
Case of the Week
Muslim Alderman Matthew Wade is accused of taking money from Islamic Extremists in order to vote to have a mosque built and Lockhart, Gardner & Bond is defending him because he's a friend of Will's. In the course of the investigation, the attorneys have to listen to hours and hours of wiretaps.
It turns out Alderman Wade wasn't taking money from Islamic Extremists -- he was taking it from drug kingpin Lamont Bishop. Frying pan, fire. But Diane gets him off by seeking to subpoena Ruth Yamaguchi, a fictional member of the Obama administration that the prosecutor does not want dragged into the case.

Daniel Day-Lewis will replace Liam Neeson as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg's long awaited film project 'Lincoln!'
Press Release: "Daniel Day-Lewis would have always been counted as one of the greatest of actors, were he from the silent era, the golden age of film or even some time in cinema's distant future. I am grateful and inspired that our paths will finally cross with 'Lincoln,'" said Steven Spielberg. "Throughout his career, he has been exceptionally selective in his choice of material," added Stacey Snider, "which makes us feel even more fortunate that he has chosen to join with us for 'Lincoln.'"
Based on the best-selling book, "Team of Rivals," by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, the screenplay has been written by the Pulitzer Prize winner, Tony Award winner, and Academy Award nominated writer Tony Kushner. It will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg.

Holy crap! This is some of the best casting news ever!! Daniel Day-Lewis (Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood) has been cast as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg's long awaited film project Lincoln! How awesome is that!
Liam Neeson was attached to the film for years, but ended up dropping out of the project because he felt he got to old to portray the 16th President of the United States. Day-Lewis is one hell of a fantastic replacement! I'm actually even more excited for him taking on the role than Neeson. Day-Lewis is one of the best actors working in Hollywood right now.
The announcement was made today by Spielberg and Stacey Snider, Co-Chairman and CEO of DreamWorks Studios. On top of that, filming is expected to begin in the fall of 2011 for a release in 2012! I've been waiting for this movie since I first heard it was getting made,...

Tatum Back In Rehab
Actress Tatum O'Neal's public protests about her ex-husband John McEnroe's remarks about her have led her to rehab. The former child star appeared in magazine articles and on American TV shows to fight back at comments tennis ace McEnroe made about her in his autobiography You Cannot Be Serious - suggesting she was a hard drug user and unfit mother. But the exposes were too much for the self-confessed heroin junkie - and led her into celebrity California rehab Promises. American tabloid National Enquirer claims O'Neal checked herself into the rehab's 34-day program after a friend caught her smoking crack. But pals say her latest rehab stint seems to have done her the world of good and she's now happier and healthier. One friend says, "She knew this was her last chance. I think she would have ended up dead." The actress is now determined to get her career back on track in new movie The Scoundrel's Wife.
