At the turn of the century (1900) a young merchant is abducted by a group of brigands who are sheltered in a remote mountainous area of Greece aiming to extract ransom from his wealthy family.
In early 1900s Greece, a team of bandits abducts a young bourgeois man. As the group takes shelter in the mountains, waiting for his well-off family to pay the ransom, the captive gradually forms an unexpected bond with his captors, realising the need to bridge the gap between the urban philosophy and the popular culture and beliefs.—Nick Riganas
