Featured review
Its generic title acting as a warning, SIN IN '69 is non-filmmaking at its most amateurish. Hiring some buxom women and slapping together nearly random footage of simulated sex results in a WTF? experience. It's buried in a "Brutal Underground" boxed set from Alpha Blue Archives, strictly as filler, plus the usual Something Weird two-fer revival.
What passes for a plot line is a series of parties, with a mad killer subplot thrown in for bad measure. Trying to make sense of it puts the viewer in the position of an unpaid film editor or doctor, as the film's construction is beyond haphazard.
This nonsense might have worked a few years later in XXX format, but as a softcore tease film it's tedious and unarousing. Staring at large naked breasts will never go out of style, but that's all this one has to offer, and not enough of that buxom content to justify its existence.
Muffie (actress's stage name is presumably Buffie, cute touch) and Jim are the chief party-goers, with a Martin Milner lookalike Curt Evans and his sister Ginger Evans the leading party-throwers. Muffie's BFF Ann has the greatest tits on view, more than a mouthful.
SPOILER ALERT:
I can't resist a spoiler, even though I doubt anyone will ever read my review in the first place considering the obscurity and low quality of what I'm reviewing. Curt turns out to be the serial killer, who stabs Darlene after making love to her at one party.
Main plot line involves Curt & Ginger's incestuous relationship as siblings in the sack -they do it and feel guilty about it a whole lot, but it has no impact whatsoever.
Full frontal nudity, split beaver shots (de rigeur for 1969/1970 porn), and some OK low angle framings of big breasts kept me awake, but only barely. Besides the random, ultra-sloppy editing, the attempts at acting here are worse than even the modern homemade horror shot-on-videos currently flooding the market.
