Season 2 (fall 1999) was originally scheduled to be 20 x 28 minutes but was eventually broadcast as 18 x 28 minutes, plus 1 x 58 minutes. A technical error at Danmarks Radio resulted in one of the episodes not being broadcast. The material from the missing episode was then used in the first half of the following episode (2.14). In total, 67 episodes were broadcast from Seasons 1 and 2, but the running time is equivalent to 68 episodes.
John Cleese has said that being on Casper og Mandrilaftalen is the weirdest thing he has ever done.
Each episode was shot in the afternoon and broadcast later the same day on Danmarks Radio (DR2).
The runner on the show was the French Nordine Amraoui. Because Danmarks Radio's credit policy prevented him to get a runner's credit the crew instead gave him a writer's credit, although he didn't contribute any writing material. Nordine Amraoui also appears in several episodes and provides the voice of Yannick Noah the Tennis Racket.
