The House of the Dead 2 (1999)

Trivia

The House of the Dead 2

Edit
Like the bosses in the first title and titles to follow (save for The House of the Dead: Overkill), this game's bosses get their names from Tarot cards, specifically the Major Arcana section (Judgment, Hierophant, Tower, Strength, Magician, Emperor).
Agent G is the only character to appear in every game in the series, save for House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn.
Because the home version was released the same year the Columbine Massacre happened, Sega felt uneasy about releasing an official light gun controller for this game. A variety of third party guns were available at launch however.
With the appearance of Magician, he become the first ever boss in The House of Dead series to re-appear on the game, become one of three boss to do so, beside Chariot and Hangedman (both also previously appeared in the original The House of the Dead and later re-appear in House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn). He later will make appearance as Bonus Item (worth 2.000 points) in The House of the Dead III and The House of the Dead 4 and again as the Final Boss in The House of the Dead 4: Special, meaning he is the only boss to appear in 3+ The House of the Dead games.
Although many believe the event in this game was only in one day, it actually was in two days, as the agent(s) didn't reach Point A0063 until the next morning (27 February 2000). This is due to the time consumed to travel from Venice to the Colosseum and vice versa. It was indicated by the title of the fifth chapter, "Dawn".
