Really a great movie, is a Remake of the 1973 film, based on a book of the same name from the beginning of the twentieth century. A great adventure of a Polish family in the middle of Africa, amid confusions in the period of wars between a descendant of an old Arabic religion in the Sudan, English and African natives.
The scenes, the colors, the animals, the action is very good, the movie is fast (despite having almost 2 hours)
We take into account that director "Gavin Hood" is great, this African director also directed a movie called T s o t s i - 2005
This film is majestic, creative, fun to watch with your family, with your children, but very difficult to find, I practically have not found anywhere to buy or watch, I had to watch a bad quality version with subtitles alternating between English and French. But at last I understood everything calmly, and it is really a great production. I would say that it looks a lot like Lawrence of Arabia (1962), for showing the survivor in the middle of the desert and the lack of water and also show the Arab peoples of the desert. I recommend, to enjoy the story, the beautiful colors, the very serious actors with their roles, this is all very good, enjoy
