Main Intequam Loonga review :
Dharmendra's south actioner with boxing as the backdrop; Main Intequam Loonga was pre-cursor to Mithun Chakraborty's far superior Boxer (1984) and Dharam's own Apne (2007) where some of scenes from this movie were referenced to show him in his young avatar.
A routine actioner of a guy avenging his father (Dara Singh)'s death, the film stood apart for its Stallone's Rocky inspired training sequences. It is also technically the debut of Sunny Deol who makes an uncredited appearance as body double of his father in a shot doing one hand push ups. This was one year before his much touted launchpad Betaab (1983).
Dharam's onscreen mother played by pretty South Indian actress Sharada was actually decade younger than him in the real world. But did the audience really care then??!! Nah, as long as they got their dose of dhishoom dhishoom!!!
