this is an excellent movie presenting the Bulgarian values, beliefs, and family traditions. It was also shown during the very hard times before the collapse of the communist regime in Bulgaria. It reviews the lives of several generations of Bulgarians living in the same house. Soft, symbolic, recommendable. As a child I remember crying over the individual episodes - the movie was so real! YOu must see it with subtitles - the voices of the actors are so soft, naive... Nothing like a Latin Soap Opera... The movie is worth seeing if you find it on a DVD. Not to mention that most of the high-end Bulgarian film stars play in the film...
