Seema is a hard working gynec . Her only relation her brother wishes to go abroad to study . His GF is introduced to Seema who fully approves of her. Their another cousin Ambika is handicapped . Seema is kind hearted and tries to help a lot of people .

Mammooty is a rich play boy who is a lawyer but does not practice much . He keeps getting his GFs to Seema to get abortions .

Seema develops aversion to Mammooty and keeps to herself . Their paths cross quite often . He keeps trying to bait her but she does not bother responding . Meanwhile her brother goes abroad . In a few months time , his GF comes to Seema saying she is carrying his baby and needs an abortion. Seema tries to understand as her own brother left abroad long time back . However the GF is killed during abortion op and Seema is accused of negligence. A lot of court drama takes place . Mohanlal has a small role as the GF's pimp acting as her cousin . Slowly the GF's loose character comes to the front . Mammooty unexpectedly fights Seema's case . As she wins, she realises his genuine nature and they both unite . Seema looks simple in soft sarees . Mammooty mostly wears costly suits and drives flashy cars with pretty women . He is likeable even in his grey role . Mohanlal looks raw as an uncouth uncultured pimp and blackmailer of Seema . In the end , her brother returns and unites with Ambika much to Seema's happiness .
