Too much of local humour to be universally entertaining...

This is the sequel of Karmina (1996). This movie is quite "French Canadian humour" and was made primarily for that particular market. Even in France they'll have a hard time to understand all the subtleties of the regional language and I don't know if they translated it in English at all. I have a DVD with English subtitles. That said, it is a fine entertaining little movie with a lot of great ideas, props and make-ups; About a group of vampires who try to fit in the modern world and their struggle against the local mob. Although there have been lots of parodies about vampires before (in the 70's), this one is more contemporary and lacks the over used medieval environment always depicted in such genre.
