A boy rescues a mutt from the dog catchers. When they check with his parents, they say they have no dog, so the boy needs to evade them as they try to catch the dog again.
It's a pleasant little tale of very little substance by. Henri Jouf, that won him a nomination for the Palme D'or at Cannes. I guess everyone likes dogs. I know I do, and this is a very appealing, floppy-eared mutt.
Although the print has faded in five decades, there's very clearly some good camerawork involved here. It's not an award winner -- as I have already said, it was just niminated -- but for the fifteen minutes it takes, it doesn't have the chance to bore.
