This film project has the name "Rebecca Lord" on it. Ms. Lord is considered a "legend" in hardcore, but her series "Kama Sutra" won't help her image much.
Created by the same bunch who did "Beverly Hills Bordello", it's the same story. Only this time, it's missing a lot of the spice that made "Bordello" passable fun. Tamara Landry, who plays Madame Dalia, might be the most boring blonde bombshell in history. She's stiff, unfriendly, and Vulcan-like in emotion. Worse, the women featured here are on the wrong side of 30 or have way too much plastic. One episode featured a menopausal, mustachioed Susan Featherly, Elizabeth Kaitan-lookalike Shannan Leigh, and a man who would fit in with them in a menage aux trois. None of the current "stars" of the game are here. It doesn't help that the story lines have been reused a million times.
Bottom line: Avoid this one like the plague, especially us Canadians who now have it on our screens in both languages on a regular basis.
