Bruce Willis was on a bit of a heater heading into 2001. The star had a habit of keeping busy, which meant that there would be a dud or two mixed in with the successes, but after the washout of "Last Man Standing" in 1996 (and excluding the animated hit that was "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America"), he had four consecutive years with a box-office smash in "The Fifth Element" ($264 million worldwide), "Armageddon" ($554 million WW), "The Sixth Sense" ($673 million WW), and "Unbreakable" ($248 million WW). Why not make it five?
Willis surely didn't lack for offers in 2001, but for whatever reason he rolled into that year with one film on the slate, Barry Levinson's caper comedy "Bandits." Co-starring Billy Bob Thornton and Cate Blanchett, it's a funny enough movie that rode its mild charms to a $67 million global gross — which fell short of the movie's inexplicably fat $75 million budget (money that most...

The world changed when Colin Farrell portrayed the breathtaking role of Oswald Cobb in the 2022 film The Batman. Matt Reeves realized that the Reevesverse was not going to stay the same after Farrell.

The iconic make-up that turns Farrell into the Penguin is quite a horrifying sight to see. The make-up, however, looked so real that The Penguin star Cristin Milioti started thinking Farrell and Oz Cobb were two different persons!
Colin Farrell is The Penguin?
Not going to lie, many people might be shocked to see the difference between Colin Farrell and his on-screen character of Oswald Cobb. Through the power of a camera lens and heavy make-up, this Irish actor became the underworld don of Gotham City.

Colin Farrell recently became a topic of interest amongst Hollywood fans after the recent debut of HBO’s The Penguin. The 48-year-old has done a great job portraying the character of Oswald Cobblepot in the episodes that have come out so far and when he debuted with this role in The Batman (2022) alongside Robert Pattinson, who made his first appearance as Bruce Wayne.

Over the years, Farrell developed a reputation for being one of the better crime-action stars in the industry as well, notching roles in films such as Total Recall, True Detective, London Boulevard, and more. Interestingly, Farrell himself has dealt with legal authorities as a teenager, a situation that would have had him behind bars.

Colin Farrell’s performance as the Penguin has been praised ever since he first played the character in The Batman. Being unrecognizable underneath all the prosthetic makeup and having a completely different look, the actor amazed audiences with his performance in the 2022 film. So much so, that he got his own series as the character.

As more episodes from the series are released, audiences get to see Farrell play the role for much longer than a few minutes in a film. However, giving an impactful performance under so much make-up is not an easy task.
It would seem that the amount of prosthetics that Farrell was forced to wear affected everyone on set.
Colin Farrell’s Fragile Attire
With the release of HBO’s The Penguin, fans have become more and more curious about what it took to make the show.

Colin Farrell is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable movie stars in the industry today. With HBO’s The Penguin, a spin-off from Matt Reeves’ The Batman, currently dominating the market and earning praise from both critics and fans, the Irish actor is riding high on success.
Beyond this latest venture, Farrell has delivered memorable performances throughout his career. His recent role in The Banshees of Inisherin earned him an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win.
While his filmography also includes standout roles in Lanthimos’ The Lobster, The Killing of the Sacred Deer, Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen, Steve McQueen’s Widows, Joel Schumacher’s gripping thriller Phone Booth, Tim Burton’s Dumbo, and Martin McDonagh’s dark comedies In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths.

As far as movie stars are concerned, Colin Farrell is undoubtedly among the most well-known names in the business nowadays. With HBO’s The Penguin, a spin-off from Matt Reeves’ The Batman, ruling the market right now and receiving rave reviews from reviewers as well as fans, the Irish actor is currently enjoying success.

Interviews can be pressuring especially when one is put on the spot and asked if someone is gay or not, and Colin Farrell might have felt the same when he was questioned about Tom Cruise’s real orientation.

Farrell’s answer was indeed hilarious, and it was quite the ice-breaker for such a very random question. He and Cruise have worked together in the past as well so it might have been a jest between friends.
Colin Farrell Said The Funniest Thing About Tom Cruise During An Interview
In 2002, actor Colin Farrell almost slipped and outed Tom Cruise in a press junket while promoting his movie Hart’s War. In the interview, he was asked if he thought the Mission: Impossible star was gay or straight. At first, he answered, “Gayaaahstraight.”
maybe not the most insane thing said but this has to be mentioned pic.

The 1990 television adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel "It" may be best known for Tim Curry's performance as Pennywise, who made an entire generation seriously terrified of clowns, but it would be nothing without the heart and soul of the Loser's Club. In the 1950s, a group of misfit kids growing up in Derry, Maine are brought together, partially because they don't belong anywhere else, but also because they happen to be targeted by the malevolent force that haunts their town, stealing and murdering its local children. Together, they have to face off against Pennywise to stop the killing once and for all. That's what they think, anyway. But despite defeating Pennywise as children, they're forced to return to Derry as adults and once again confront the terrors of their youth.

This article contains spoilers for Only Murders in the Building season 3 episodes 1 and 2.
The second season of Only Murders in the Building ended with the characters gathered to watch the premiere of Oliver Putnam’s (Martin Short) play, Death Rattle, many months in the future. The star of the production is Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd), an apparently big name actor in the show’s universe who drops dead for no apparent reason right up on stage. With mere minutes to get acquainted with Ben, audiences don’t know anything about him other than his hinted stage presence and the fact that Oliver thought he was the right leading man for the job.
As the third season begins with “The Show Must . . . ,” Only Murders in the Building brings us back to the first table read of the production, where Ben is introduced to the rest of the cast and crew of the Broadway play.

With movie theaters fully back up and running, HBO Max no longer has any major film releases to point to with its list of new releases for May 2022. That’s alright though as the streamer is leaning into the HBO side of its branding to offer up some fun TV releases.
The biggest HBO Max original this month is undoubtedly the return of Hacks on May 12. The first season of this comedy starred Jean Smart as a venerated Vegas comedy and Hannah Einbinder as her new millennial assistant. The first batch of episodes was excellent and even won an Emmy or two for its troubles and now season 2 will look to keep up the good vibes.

Justin Bieber promised “Honest,” and he delivered his new track featuring Don Toliver on Thursday. The song arrives with accompanying video directed by Cole Bennett.
The pair sing about the virtues of being true to loved ones while enjoying time snowmobiling, hanging in a ski lodge and lounging fireside with the people who keep them “honest” — although villains show up to try and ruin their good time.
“You kept it real with me from jump,” Bieber sings on the chorus. Toliver raps: “Gotta pick a side before you jump and leap.

Olivia Rodrigo would appear to be close to a shoo-in for several Grammys, but when it comes to what’s generally considered the most prestigious prize, album of the year, there’s a serious competitor packing heat, and he’s old enough to be her grandfather’s grandfather.
Rodrigo has a decent shot at winning the Grammys’ quadruple crown, for album, record, song and new artist of the year, just as another teen, Billie Eilish, did two years ago. Tony Bennett is the likeliest spoiler, however, of the 19-year-old’s shot at grabbing all the Grammy glory her first time out of the gate. It’s the 95-year-old legend’s last time in contention. One of the top honors a musician can get from their industry peers is the Grammy for Album of the Year. Awarded to iconic albums throughout history like The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” Stevie Wonder’s “Innervisions,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours,” Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” and Adele’s “21,” the category is a way of preserving for posterity excellent albums that were the year’s best of the best. This year 10 albums are gunning for a chance to take the prestigious honor, but only one will ultimately be crowned as the Album of the Year.

Justin Bieber is the second most nominated artist at the Grammys this year with eight noms. He is only behind Jon Batiste (11 noms) and tied with Doja Cat and H.E.R. As such, you would expect Bieber to be the front-runner in at least one of the categories he’s in. Based on Gold Derby odds, though, Bieber is expected to leave empty handed come April 3. However, don’t lose hope, Beliebers.
Out of the Pop Vocal Album nominees, “Justice” has a few advantages that make it a legitimate threat to win. First, it has multiple hits, something very common in Pop Vocal Album winners (look at last year’s “Future Nostalgia” by Dua Lipa). “Justice’s” hits were also in heavy rotation on pop radio, which could mean his album is one of the most listened to among the nominees.

After the viral success of his appearance on a remix of the WizKid track “Essence,” Justin Bieber is continuing his foray into the world of Afrobeats as he joins rising African artist Omah Lay on the new single, “Attention.”

There's two unshakeable truths that most "Star Trek fans" hold concerning "Star Trek: The Next Generation." The first is that it's top-tier Trek, only eclipsed by its sister show "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." The second is that the show has a ratio of truly great episodes to ... not-so-great episodes. For every gamechanger like the "Best of Both Worlds" two-parter (which served as my own introduction to "The Next Generation"), there's a clunker like the season 1 episode "Justice," where Wesley Crusher is put on trial for stepping on flowers. And in case you don't remember that, I'm not joking -- that was an actual...

David Ramsey is putting together a new gang of superheroes for The CW.
The actor, who plays John Diggle in Arrow as well as a number of other DC-related series, is to headline Justice U, which is in development at the youth-skewing broadcaster.
Ramsey’s Diggle is a former bodyguard and master sergeant in the U.S. Army as well as co-founder of Team Arrow.
In the new series, which is set in the Arrowverse, after years of fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow.
In addition to starring in the series, if it is picked up to pilot, Ramsey, who has directed a number of Arrowverse episodes, will helm the pilot.

Grammy winners for pop over the decades have run the gamut from The Beatles to Billie Eilish. This year the two pop album categories include past winners and first-time nominees. But who will strike gold this time? Let’s take a look.
SEE2022 Grammy predictions: R&b album races include tough match-up between H.E.R., Jon Batiste, and Jazmine Sullivan Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album
There is virtually no way Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett don’t win here. Their album is not only the only one nominated in another pop category, it’s also the only one nominated for both Record and Album of the Year, not to mention Best Engineered Album and Best Music Video. The similarly beloved Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, the former who actually beat Bennett last time they competed in this category, could perhaps surprise … But don’t overthink this, “Love For Sale” is winning.

The story was covered by nearly 50 outlets, including the New York Times, CNN, ESPN, Los Angeles Times, Good Morning America, and Telemundo. This Star Trek article contains some spoilers for Prodigy episode 3, “Dreamcatcher.”
Spores are a big deal in Star Trek. This may sound like a retroactive canon thing, given that the propulsion system of the USS Discovery basically runs on mushrooms, but, the truth is, spores also gave Star Trek: The Original Series one of its most pivotal and important episodes: “This Side of Paradise.” Prior to Prodigy‘s release, we were told that the kid-geared series would be drawing inspiration from all corners of Trek universe and, in a kind of strange tribute to both the spores of Discovery and the spores of Tos, the new kids’ animated series Star Trek: Prodigy now also has its own spore-centric arc. Here’s what’s going on in the episode “Dreamcatcher,” and how the whole premise scans as a love letter to the Treks that came before.
Of all the episodes of Prodigy thus far,...

For the first time in Grammy history, the race to accrue nominations and ultimately the final contest itself may come down to a battle of the teenaged girls. Olivia Rodrigo, a newcomer at 18, and Billie Eilish, veritably a veteran now at 19, are the leading contenders to pick up multiple nods when the nominees for the 2022 Grammy Awards are announced Nov. 23. Yes, Eilish, whose birthday is Dec. 18, will officially have graduated out of her teens by the time the ceremony takes place Jan. 23, but it’ll still be a prodigy-vs.-prodigy contest in which we can be assured that not many elder voters will be holding their preternaturally talented superstars’ youth against them.
Rodrigo and Eilish may be the only two stars who can be considered 100% locks to be nominated in the top three categories — album, record and song of the year — but the odds also favor Taylor Swift and Lil Nas X...

Fret not, Comedy Series champion “Ted Lasso,” your losses in both writing and directing put you in very accomplished company, including three-time series victor “Veep.” Though our exclusive combined odds had the Apple TV+ series winning the directing prize for the Zach Braff-helmed episode “Biscuits” and the writing award for the “Pilot” penned by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, and Brendan Hunt, “Hacks” ultimately won both Writing and Directing for its pilot episode “There Is No Line” written by Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” will likely get in due to its success and how much voters love her (seven wins in just the last two years). And Ariana Grande’s “Positions” has three big pop radio hits, while Grande is also a consistent pop nominee. The two remaining spots will be a bloodbath.
Next in line are two previous pop nominees: Taylor Swift’s “Evermore” and Justin Bieber’s “Justice.” Both artists have, admittedly, missed some pop nominations before, but did get three bids each in this genre last year, though both failed to win any. That said, both of their albums have sold well, and pop voters love familiar faces.
