In this movie, Jimmy is a staunch Newcastle supporter, while Sean Landless, who played him, is from Sunderland and supports his home team. This is exactly the same with the two main lads, Gerry and Sewell, played by Chris Beattie and Greg McLane, respectively, in Purely Belter (2000).
