"Static Shock" is a Warner Bros. animated series that ran on Kids' WB! from 2000 to 2004. It is based on the STATIC comic book created by Dwayne McDuffie and Robert L. Washington III for Milestone Comics, published by DC Comics begining in 1993.
Static is the super-hero identity of African-American high-school student Virgil Hawkins. Virgil acquired electro-magnetic powers after being accidentally exposed to an experimental chemical.
