When her mother died, Geneviève went back to the village where she was born to sell off the house and return to Montreal. Her sister Manou, a pregnant teenager, refuses Genevieve's authority and leaves for the Île de Sable with her boyfriend.—SevPar3

Manou, not much out of girlhood, must grow up quickly when her ailing mother dies, she discovers she's pregnant, and she learns that her older sister is actually her biological mother. Armed with a cell phone that she uses to make emotional calls to friends and to her sister, Manou sets off with her boyfriend Jim, heading east for Sable Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia, a place she's dreamed about.
