Scene where Govinda entertains on TV by changing channels was inspired from Marathi film Balache Baap Brahmachari 1989.
"Dhama Suna" by Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, is used in the film during Govinda's epic TV comedy scene.
Govinda and Rani Mukherjee got involved with each other during the making of the film.
Mahima Chaudhary was signed for Rani Mukherjee' s role but opted out.
Khaled song Didi is played during Govinda's comedy scene with the television set . . It was earlier sampled and recreated for the song Jee Jee from Khoon Ki Sindoor, Subah Sham Mat Karo Tum from Shreeman Aashique , Suno Mere Rani Ji from Brahma then years later for the song Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi from Airlift. The "Pardody Song" in Eena Meena Deeka also sampled the same song. Other versions include,Tarkan song "Kimdi"(Turkish), Andy song "Laily"(Arabic),Iliret song "Ti Më Bënë Xheloz"(Albanian),Tatiana Parez song "Didi"(Russian), Milk & Honey song "Didi"(English),Sajjad Ali song "Babia"(Urdu),Dragana Mirkovik song " Bas Tebe Volim"(Serbian), Ellie Jokar Featuring Bad Brya song "Didi"(Arabic, Farsi), Nasrat Parsa song "Nazi"(Persian new version). A.R. Rahman used Cheb Khaled song "Didi" for inspiration for his song "Mere Dil Ka Woh" from Kabhi Na Kabhi. At the 0:20 mark of the song, A.R. Rahman uses the "Didi" tune/music . The exact part used from Cheb Khaled's "Didi" is at 0:59 to 1:12 mark of the song. A.R. Rahman had earlier used the same tune of "Didi" at the exact part and used it in his song "Telephone" at 1:38 mark, from the movie Indian (Hindustani). If one listen's very carefully and thinks ,A.R. Rahman took the basic rhythm/ tune of that part of "Didi" and recreated it with different instrument's. This gave A.R.Rahman's song more individuality and not seem like a rip off "Didi".
