To subdue film to the goals of propaganda (Gleichschaltung), the Nazi Party subordinated the entire film industry and administration under Joseph Goebbels' Ministry of Propaganda, and gradually nationalized film production and distribution. "Der Sieg des Glaubens " English: "The Victory of Faith", (1933) by Leni Riefenstahl was the first feature film from the NSDAP Propagandaministerium.
