Because the film includes issues of homosexuality, it sat on the shelves at Full Moon for over a year because big chain video stores deemed the product "did not contain enough heterosexual situations." It didn't do well until it was sold internationally on DVD.

While director David DeCoteau kept his name on the unrated cut, he is credited as Richard Chasen on the shorter R-Rated cut.
