Jennifer Lawrence speaks her mind. The Oscar-winning actress spoke about climate change, President Trump and the gender pay gap while promoting her new film Mother, and one comment in particular has caused quite a stir. In a recent Channel 4 News interview, social affairs editor Jackie Long questioned Lawrence about a statement director Darren Aronofsky issued with the movie at the 2017 Venice Film Festival. The statement begins with the words "It's a mad time to be alive." Long said the statement had an "end of days feeling" to it and suggested that it might particularly resonate with Americans. "It's scary," Lawrence responded. "This new language that's...

In an interview with UK's Channel 4 News, Jennifer was asked about the natural disasters happening all over the world, including Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and she responded, "You're watching these hurricanes now, and it's hard - especially while promoting this movie - not to feel Mother Nature's rage and wrath . . . Climate change is due to human activity. And we continue to ignore it, and the only voice we have is through voting." When asked about her thoughts on President Donald Trump, she said, "I don't find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is." Still, despite the state of our current political climate, Jennifer remains hopeful. Watch her interview in full above now.

Multiple media outlets rushed to identify Abu Izzadeen as the man behind the deadly attack in London on Wednesday only to find out that the alleged terror suspect is currently in jail, according to both a BBC News reporter and an ABC News producer. News outlets, including the United Kingdom’s Channel 4 News and The Independent both named Abu Izzadeen, a radical Muslim cleric formerly known as Trevor Brooks, as the man responsible for the attacks near Parliament, but a BBC reporter tweeted that the man is still in jail. ABC News producer Rym Momatz also confirmed through Izzadeen’s solicitor.

There is no shortage of funny actors in Hollywood, with people making the leap from places like Saturday Night Live and Second City to the big screen on an almost daily basis.
However, there is nobody quite like Will Ferrell in the business. Going from the funniest guy on SNL to the funniest guy on the big screen isn’t always an easy transition, but Ferrell has proven that his skills are suitable for more than just sketch comedy. Don’t get us wrong, we loved him on SNL, but we’re thankful we get to experience longer-form Ferrell as well.

Just a quick one: what happened when Channel 4 News' Jon Snow met Kit Harington...
Just a small story this, but it made us chuckle. We were in the audience for a small Q&A session that Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow gave in London last Thursday. And perhaps in anticipation of somebody asking him, he did reveal that he has indeed watched an episode of Game Of Thrones. We suspect he gets asked that quite a lot, in truth.
This is the bit we like, though.
He watched the episode in advance of interviewing Kit Harington who, of course, plays Jon Snow in Game Of Thrones. Snow was full of praise for Harington, calling him "a very intelligent young man". But that didn't stop him at the end of the interview turning to Harington and signing off with the final line, "you know nothing".

As the Avengers press tour draws to a close, Robert Downey Jr discusses walking out of an interview with Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
As the exhaustive press tour for Avengers: Age Of Ultron comes to a close, Robert Downey Jr has commented on his decision to walk out of an interview with Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy last week.
After asking Downey Jr some questions with regards the film, Guru-Murthy then moved on to talk about the actor's past (and his well-charted drug battles, and prison time). Eventually, after questioning whether they were there to promote a movie, Downey Jr got up and left the room. The clip made its way around the internet really rather quickly.
"I wish I left sooner", Downey Jr's now told The Howard Stern Show. "I don't even know the guy's name, but I know that he pulled the same garbage on Tarantino, and...

Robert Downey Jr. freely spoke his mind with Howard Stern about that super-uncomfortable interview he walked out on. "I just wish I had left sooner," said Downey Jr. "This has nothing to do with your creepy dark agenda that I'm feeling all of a sudden ashamed and obligated to accommodate your weirdo shit." He talks about how he's there to promote a movie, and then calls the Channel 4 News journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy a "bottom-feeding muckraker" and "syphilitic parasite." In an op-ed for The Guardian, Guru-Murthy writes that Downey could have said, “I’d rather not talk about this stuff,” or "engaged more" with the other topics. What Guru-Murthy does go on to say is that press junkets are like a "bad relationship" that "just isn't working." We can all probably agree on that.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy has defended his interview approach with Robert Downey Jr, arguing that his job isn't to promote the movie.
Avengers: Age of Ultron star Downey Jr walked out of his Channel 4 News interview with Guru-Murthy last week after taking issue with his choice of questions about the actor's time in prison and his addiction issues.
However, Guru-Murthy says in an article for The Guardian that he wanted "something serious and illuminating" out of the interview.
"We don't do promotional interviews on Channel 4 News," he writes. "We agree with PR people that as well as talking about a new movie for a while, we want to ask wider-ranging questions on relatively serious topics, and we don't agree to run any answers in particular.

Robert Downey Jr is turning to ABC's Diane Sawyer to 'correct' his promotional experience after a combative interview with the UK's Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

Avengers 2 stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner sorry for Black Widow "slut" joke
Before walking out on Guru-Murthy, Downey made reference to the atmosphere seeming "a little Diane Sawyer" in regard to tough questioning.
Downey ran into the real Diane Sawyer while taping an appearance for Live! with Kelly and Michael at ABC's New York headquarters on Friday (April 24).

Robert Downey Jr. seemingly hasn't gotten over that interview he stormed out of earlier this week, as he just threw some serious shade at the journalist who interviewed him. The actor posted a picture of himself hugging famed journalist Diane Sawyer. How is that throwing shade, you might ask? Well, here's the backstory: Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy was interviewing the actor-turned-superhero about the upcoming movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, when he tried to take his interview with the star in a different direction. He began to ask about his past struggles with addiction, but Rdj decided he wanted no part of it. "I just wondered whether you're free of all that," the British...

Robert Downey Jr walks out of a Channel 4 News interview with presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy. The Iron Man star was promoting his latest movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, when the questions turned to his family and past. Robert Downey Jr. has been in the spotlight for three decades, but that doesn't mean he's an open book. In a recent interview for his upcoming movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, he became visibly uncomfortable when Channel 4 news reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy started asking questions about his personal life. He tried to be a good sport, but he snapped after the reporter asks about his relationship with his father. "I'm sorry, what are we doing?" he said. "I'm just asking questions, that's all," Guru-Murthy replied. Downey Jr. then just got up, said "Bye," and walked out. The actor is very selective about the press he agrees to do for films, so it's a bummer for Channel 4 that they're probably off his list from now on. Check out the video above; the awkward part starts at 5:35.

Robert Downey Jr. sat for an interview to promote "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" ... but when the reporter changed topics to Downey's distant past, the actor walked out, telling the guy he didn't sign up for a Diane Sawyer sit-down. Downey was talking all things Avengers with Channel 4 News in London Wednesday to promote the release of his new flick and he handled things like a hero until the interviewer -- Krishnan Guru-Murthy -- brought up prison,...

If you ever get the chance to interview Robert Downey Jr, you might want to avoid asking him about jail or drugs.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron star walked out of his Channel 4 News interview with anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy after taking issue with his choice of questions.
Downey Jr became noticeably more uncomfortable when Guru-Murthy referred to a 2008 interview in which the star opened up about how his time in prison affected him, at one point asking: "Are we promoting a movie?"
As Guru-Murthy brought the interview back towards the star's personal life - referencing past interviews where he spoke about his relationship with his father, drinking and drugs - Downey Jr said: "I'm sorry, I really don't... what are we doing?"
The actor then made a hasty exit as Guru-Murthy tried to apologise, quipping "it's just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here" as he left the room.

Press junkets can be difficult and repetitive when you're promoting a franchise the magnitude of The Avengers. And during an interview with Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy today, things got especially frustrating for Robert Downey Jr. when, after some general (and boring) questions about Age of Ultron, Guru-Murthy decided to change the subject. Things started to go wrong when Guru-Murthy brought up some quotes Rdj gave to the New York Times in 2008 about his incarceration and how his time behind bars changed his political views. Downey, visibly annoyed by the line of questioning, reminds Guru-Murthy that he's there to promote a movie, and politely attempts to clarify his previous comments. His response probably should've cut the tension, but Guru-Murty continued to pry, prompting Rdj to end the interview entirely with a simple "bye" and a wave. This isn't the first time Guru-Murthy has ruffled the feathers of a famous...

While promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron in London, Robert Downey Jr. was expecting to talk all things Tony Stark--he was not there to discuss his past personal struggles. So when Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy began hesitantly asking the 50-year-old actor about "the dark periods you went to...taking drugs and drinking and all of that," things took an awkward turn for the worse. "I just wondered whether you're free of all that," the interviewer continued as Downey began to appear visibly uncomfortable. "...or whether's you think that's still — " "I'm sorry," the actor interjected. "I really don't—what are we doing?"...

After being queried on politics and drugs, film star smiles and waves goodbye to UK Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy: ‘It’s getting a little Diane Sawyer in here’
Having clashed with Quentin Tarantino in an interview two years ago, the UK Channel 4 news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy has upset another Hollywood titan – Robert Downey Jr.
Promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron, the actor took exception to Guru-Murthy asking him about an interview he gave to the New York Times in 2008, in which he said: “You can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary and really understand it and come out a liberal.”

Ofcom has ruled that Channel 4 News broke broadcasting rules over a foreign military policy piece.
The ITN-produced bulletin was picked up by the regulator for using an audio clip portraying a Latvian cargo plane as a Russian aircraft on November 17.
The report in question referred to an increased number of aircraft that had been intercepted in Nato airspace. It featured audio footage of an Raf pilot warning an aircraft, described as a Russian military plane, but it was actually a Latvian cargo plane.
"News, in whatever form, must be reported with due accuracy and presented with due impartiality," Ofcom's report stated.
Channel 4 said that the producer and reporter were "misled" because the plane had been manufactured in Russia.
The report stated: "We noted Channel 4's admission that 'it was not the correct choice of audio'. Ofcom also acknowledged the steps taken by Channel 4 to remove the audio clip from the report,...
