Geobreeders is about a team of Security specialists whose job is to rid Japan of "Phantom Cats", which are cats who have the capability of transforming into humans as well as manipulating computer hardware and software. The team use a special form of talisman to capture the cats and then store the cats on data disks. One of the key elements, is that while a recovery mission of some of the talismans is taking place, a raid on Kagura Total Securities (The name of the firm), occurs which completely destroys their office. During this raid, a Phantom Cat who'd changed sides and was assisting the Team, was kidnapped by the raiders, who turn out to be US Marines.
It is now up to the members of Kagura Total Securities to find their ally and friend. However, the team isn't willing to go out on a mission unless their is sufficient funding for the raid. So Yotishi volunteers to have the application fee taken out of his salary, not realising that the application fee is equal to One and a half years worth of his salary. I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves Action Anime, as well as those with a thing against cats.

i saw this movie about a year ago, and although the title is geobreeders, i honestly saw nothing about geo or breeding in the whole movie. oh well, why do they call a car an accord right? anyways, the animation in this is very clean, which many of you may like. I on the other hand like the scraggy shabbiness of such animes as Akira and Vampire Hunter Sadoko. the movie is about a small group of people that have to capture these virtual cats, it's pretty trippy like that. the main reason i had to comment on this though was one little joke i found in the movie watching the english version. towards the end, a man is looking for his rare paper talismans, so hes walking around asking people on the street if theyve seen it. then, he says "no! im looking for a paper, not god!" for those of you who don't know japanese, the word paper, or kami, is also a homonym for the word god. just an example of how people really shouldnt use literal translations when dubbing. unless they'd like to add little easter eggs like this for those who know both languages.
Geobreeders is an adorable anime, it's really funny and was one of my first anime's so cheers to that! The character designs are great and voice acting is good on both English / Japanese languages, you will like this anime if you like silly comedy action shows.
8/10 stars.
