- The humorous Friday through Sunday misadventures of four best friends.
- To a kid, every weekend is precious, so each time the final bell rings Friday afternoon, Tino, Tish, Carver, and Lor try to make the most out of the short freedom they have. Tino Tonitini, the show's narrator, is an average sarcastic kid with a good heart and isn't afraid to tell his Mom about his life (actually she usually tricks him into telling her). Tish Katsufrakus comes from an old world family and loves art, music, and all the things her friends find dull. Carver is the athletic one with a shoe fetish. Finally, Lor McQuarrie is the tom-boy. Together, they play pool, eat pizza, and be kids in every sense of the word.—Max Vaughn
- The story is about the lives of 4 friends on the weekends in Bahia Bay, California. Tino Tonitini is a sarcastic boy who narrates the show and usually speaks first and last on the episodes. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother is a down-to-earth health-nut who knows what goes on in Tino's head. Tish Katsufrakis is a artsy, brainy girl who comes from a country that no one has heard of and is only referred to as the "old country." Her mother has broken English and most people don't understand what she says, so when they finally get it and repeat what they think they heard, she always responds with, "Is what I say." Tish also enjoys Sheakspheare and is notably the most scholarly of the four. Lor McQuarrie is a Scottish tomboy who usually beats boys at sports and is the only girl in a family of 14 brothers. Carver Descartes is a somewhat superficial shoe lover who knows more about the fashion world and has an annoying teenage sister and a little brother who can be troublesome. Carver is obsessed with being cool and is very aware of his appearance. Each weekend the group searches for the perfect weekend. They hang out around town, get pizza, and usually encounter some sort of problem. Tino's mother always offers sound advice which the kids usually don't take and they end up figuring things out on their own. She often gives this advice at dinner while trying to get Tino to eat something unusual such as tofu brownies or ostrich meat. The kids usually hang out at places like the mall where they usually get chili cheese fries and chug-a-freezes, the arcade, or a pizza place with different and sometimes silly themes. Each episode always ends at a final thought and "Later days," a slang term used to say goodbye.—Umbrelli (Edited by Elizabeth)
