The series was edited into a feature version released on VHS by Thames in 1991. However, three episodes were excluded: Elementary, My Dear What-Not (1990); The Ghost of Castle McCarr (1990) and Cedric Sackbutt's Search for a Song (1990). Only a few seconds from each episode were shown, accompanied by a new voice-over by John Hasler.
