I think that this is one of the most realistic soap operas I've ever seen. I think that Margarita Rosa de Francisco's acting was amazing, and shows her great talent. The cast also acted very good, and gave a sense of realism to this soap opera. Besides, "La Madre" was written well, and was able to show it's viewers not a regular romance, but the romance of an "old" and "betrayed" woman, who despite all her troubles dedicates her life to her children and finds the strength to start over. Of course, it also dealt with Colombia's criminal situation . I personally think it's admirable.
