It is a very good crime show, with great narrative and video editing. I enjoyed more the earlier seasons as the producers did a better casting job to portray the real people, they found actors who were very similar, or with make up and wardrobe they got excellent look-alikes. They also showed more photographs of the real persons. For the earlier seasons I'd rate it a 9 or 10.

The Intro makes a big deal about how crime scenes are chronicled by Photographers and reporters from start to finish and leads you to believeyou are going to get a special glimpse "behind the scenes" .
I watch and read a lot of true crime and was interested in seeing the reporters first views and feelings about the crime scenes and seeing their first hand snaps. Instead, they talk about the great impromptu pictures they took and then show re-enactment photos staged by actors. Even of things that would be fully documented such as the arrest. Why??
Without any new perspective this show is just one of a myriad of true crime docos that drags out the same info as everyone else.
It had a hook but failed to follow through.
