This is a photoplay the theme of which involves in the plot the hazing of a new college student. Clyde Penfield (Guy Coombs) during the foolish ceremonies is branded on the back of his left hand with the word "coward." Humiliated, he vows vengeance on the perpetrators. He is forced to wear a glove. Later, through good-heartedness, he alleviates the suffering of his former persecutor's family, by ministering to the welfare of his wife and child. There is a intensified interest in this offering and it is meritorious. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
