Where else can you see Nina from 3rd Rock starring in a movie with Scooter from Living Single? On BET, of course. At first when I came across this movie as I was channel surfing along I thought it was simply a Black version of "You've Got Mail." But the similarities ended after the online introduction. Even though I had work to do, I was hooked. I'm not going to sit and tell you what it was all about, but it was a great romantic "chick flick" kind of movie, with a believable storyline, an attractive cast, and some tension which leaves you guessing until the very end.
Kudos to BET for FINALLY entertaining me.

I've always been a fan of Cress Williams who played the character Scooter on Living Single. In this movie, if you're a fan, you get a lot of Cress eye candy! This movie is great to watch on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when there's nothing else to do or it's raining or cold outside. Gives you a warm heart. At times you find yourself blaming Joi for his interest in her friend and at other times you want to hug her in her frustration to get him to see who she really is. I was so mad at her friend for not really being interested in him, knowing that Joi was. How sick is that? Anyway, I got caught up in it, and found it very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it.

I recently watched this movie with my sister and I must say, I really enjoyed it. It had all the same elements of your typical romance, a guy, a girl and maybe another girl in between. A woman (Joi) looses her job and her boyfriend and with the help of her mother, gets another job. She resides with her friend (Monica) who's nothing but a gold-digging trick. She talks to a man on the net (who later turns out to be her boss who she hated at first) and he wants to meet her. Instead of Joi going, she sends her friend and she and the boss become an item. The movie has a few laughs as well as disappointments. The friend's character really annoyed me because I cannot stand gold-digging women who go after men who have money. Also the friend cheats on the guy with her old lover because he has a better car. The boss eventually finds out and plays a game with them both. This may not be the best romance you've ever seen but I think it is a great movie to watch. I also found that the acting was at times a bit fake but it is worth seeing. 7/10.
