The lives of three young women and their love lives criss-cross in a small California town. Tammy is a high school graduate who discovers that she's pregnant from a one-night tryst with her boyfriend. Velvet is a young waitress who longs to get away from working for her crabby boss Harvey and find a life for herself. Lastly, Suzie is a typical trailer-trash girl who puts up with her mean boyfriend, and who turns her sights on the local auto mechanic.
