Filmed in December 1981.
For the two songs in the slaughterhouse meat locker, filming ran from 3:30 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next morning.
This TV special was devised as promotion for Cooper's European tour, which kicked off in France 12 days after the broadcast. It aired once on the French network Antenne 2 and has never officially been seen again - though it's been heavily bootlegged for decades.
Cooper re-recorded several songs in-studio specifically for this special. Subsequently, the new recordings of "Billion Dollar Babies," "School's Out" and "Only Women Bleed" surfaced as "live" b-sides and bonus tracks, with an artificial audience dubbed into the sound mix.
"Go to Hell" was originally intended to be filmed at the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral, which appalled French TV executives, so it was ultimately shot on the front steps of the Sacré Coeur church.
