Music of this film was released in 2001, but this film never released, no information whether it is complete or shelved. but more surprising is 61 people voted for this film, how can someone rate a film without watching it.

This soundtrack is in fact dubbed from the 1994 Tamil film May Madham. This movie is relatively unknown and was acted by unknown actors as well. Somehow the cast and team which worked on this movie seems non existent now.
It had a new story structure and presentation which at the time was still experimental in India...But it featured ARR's music which seem to be the dominant aspect of the whole affair.
The original movie was one of the greatest flops but is remembered for the great music composed by ARR. The soundtrack is an exceptionally rendered piece of perfection a head of its time and Rahman has given a great soul to the songs. The lyrics are awesome and so is the composition of instrumental variations which seems the most comprehensive for any ARR album yet.
ARR's varied use of keyboard, piano, violin and a dozen other instruments which disintegrates in fluid transitions is simply mind-blowing. The sound effects synthesis and recording were simply out of this world yet to this day!
The songs were much critically talked about back in 1994 when Rahman was at the threshold of his career..
I clearly remember I was just 13 when I listened to this, now I am 37...I do miss this soundtrack terribly then when I had my first teenage crush and obsessively listening to the romantic numbers in the album.
The BGM score for the movie was of high quality too. This album and a few soundtracks released back then by Rahman had that Midas touch to them which somewhat is missing in his latest works
Imo this is perfect nostalgia for those wanting to experience Rahman's old style of composing back in the 90s.
Indeed the composer had a better style back then with more emphasis on creating moods through clever manipulation of sound and rhythm breaks Love u Hamesha is the perfect testament to that.
Each of the tracks has the distinctive quality which differentiates between them...
The music feels clear and crisp just like newer releases In fact u cant tell the difference cos of Rahman's excellent technical wizardry.
20 over years later this soundtrack still has the vibrancy and heart warming melody which made the original a hit..
A rare one to miss especially those hindi listeners who had not listened to the original and craving for some nostalgia. Hearing the songs simply transports u back to the good old 90s when the Rahman phenomenon was right in your face and happening = Worth your money.

It's been almost two decades to date since A.R. Rahman's soundtrack to this film was released. Still in my golden collection of cassettes & CDs. Kavita Krishnamurty's vocals on the track' Ek Ladki Thi' is simply outstanding and remains the most memorable of the soundtrack along with Hariharan & Sadhna Sargam on 'Gup Chup Baatein'.
Does anyone know if the film will ever be released? Seems like only one song was shot and released which is 'Ek Ladki Thi' in which Sonali Bendre was captured beautifully.
As a huge longtime Sonali Bendre fan, I would really love to know of any news of the film still being released either digitally or on dvd.
