This might be seen as a cross between "The Blair Witch Project" >and Ferrara's "Snake eyes" in the wake of "Festen", but set for >laughs more than thrills. Meaning this is a no-budgeter, >big-hearted movie set in the world of moviemaking but with a >difference (the little girl director, providing some good >psychological twists). Of course, the movie-within-a-movie is a >fun spoof of gore movies with nods to "The Evil Dead", but >obviously done with great respect for the genre. A few baroque >characters (a "madwoman" considered as a witch, a schizophrenic >clowness) gives a poetic touch to the whole proceeding while the >crew runs the whole gamut from love to hate. There are some very >funny one-liners and, basically, this as a whole is a nice, >refreshing experience. It came out the same day as "The Phantom >Menace"
