Dharmendra's brother Kanwar Ajit Singh had produced the film he also wrote script for the film and acted in a small part as truck driver.
The film was a big commercial success at the box-office and among the top 3 grosser for the year in India.
The film gave Dharmendra his Garam-Dharam image.
Film had well known comedians like Keshto Mukherjee,Jagdeep,Jhonny Walker,Maruti ,Birbal and Sunder.
Dharmendra had three looks in the film clean shaven as Thanedaar Indrajeet Singh,with mustache as Inspector Davinder Singh and with long hair and full beard as Ajit Singh the truck driver.
