the theme is delicate. and generous. and the director use the middle way for present it. few tricks like the memories of an old priest and , maybe, the last meet with the friend who marks his life. the youth and the desire against the faith. the reasonable choice as only way to be himself. all is good and correct and nice. but something missing for give to the film credibility. it is like a story created by references. and , against the atmosphere, against the good points, against the music and the decent performances, the film is far to be complete. it is like the old films who seems more older , with a too small target, using the poetry of gestures and emotions for give a special flavor to a sketch of story.
