This is one of very rare movies based on Serbian epic poetry (which is shame for oldest cinematography in the Balkans), and thus share some similarities with far superior and by my opinion best Serbian & Croatian movie ever-Banovic Strahinja. In its roots its a short story about individual heroism of a man who alone fight against local bully after no one else dares. Fabula is set in late middle ages, probably 14-15 century, and movie is set at old fortress of Kotor, although in movie place is not named and in original epic song its actually Greek city of Thessaloniki. Sadly, this movie deserves to be known more among Serbs and broader public. It is also pity it isn't developed enough, it seams it was grossly underfunded and thus poorly executed.
