When I first watched this anime at NekoCon 2000, I only got to watch a few of the episodes. They were good alright. I wanted to get this for my collection and I did. My father got me the entire collection for Christmas. It was a great series. My favorite funny part was when Bantaro and his boys attacked and beaten up Jiyu's dad because he was chasing her and she told her father to leave her alone. When Jiyu met a samurai named Koinosuke, he presented her with a Lovely eye-patch, and she transformed in Yagyu Jubei, the II. There were 3 things that happen at school. First, two girls meet Jiyu and form a trio called "The New Student Lovies", and they plan to go to a desert shop but never got to. Second, an enemy from the Ryujoji clan challenges Jiyu aka Yagyu Jubei to a duel. She does win, and turns that evil person into a nice person with a swing of her sword. And third, Bantaro tries to give Jiyu a love letter. The series features the cast from: BetterMan,Crest of the Stars, Fancy Lala, G-Gundam, and others. In closing if you don't have this one. Buy it. You will see what I mean.

I just watch the first 4 episodes of this series and found in enjoyable. The charters are okay, the jokes are not he funniest, but I did find myself chuckling a few times. There is a running fixation on the main character's breasts, which gets old REALLY fast. Not to mention that she is supposed to be a Jr. High student. The English voice acting is down right dreadful at times, but it's very rare that you ever get an Anime that's dubbed well. That aside, if you enjoy the type of Japanese humor found in animes like Ramna ½ or Slamdunk! you'll find this enjoyable.
