It was originally planned for the game to have a sequel and the game hints at this as well. Although the work on the sequel was begun, the project was soon scraped.

Goofs
In the book the North Pole is the entry to Rama, the South Pole being the engines. In the Rama game - the 'hub' (the entry) is referred to several times as the 'South' - and the in-game compass confirms this.

Graet game

As wonderwoman-12 and others mentioned, a great play and the music is outstanding. And yes, it can still be played with current windows system. You simply need to grab scummvm, which is free software, install it, and load from there...
