The series was one of the few drama animated television series produced by the animation studio Hanna-Barbera, which was better known for its comedy series and its adventure series. "These Are the Days" was considered a ratings' failure, canceled a few months following its debut. The failure of its various drama series convinced the studio that television audiences were not interested in this genre.
