I saw this film as a young girl. Jorge Rivero has appeared in over one hundred twenty movies and a career that has spanned over four decades. At the height of his career he was a handsome, sexy, Latin hunk of a man-with the body of a Greek Adonis.
Thers not much dialog in the movie, mostly grunting and pointing, some tender moments between Adam and Eve.Adam is very primal and rough around the edges. Nudity and nature prevail. It's a beautiful film to watch,
I'm biased-I am a fan of Latin Actresess and Actors. I grew up watching Latin films on Sundays my family would go to church then go see a movie and this was one of them.

Miguel Zacarías, a director from the golden days of Mexican cinema (responsible for the classic "El peñón de las ánimas", first film with María Félix), adapted the Adam and Eve tale to the 1960s audiences: Jorge Rivero was the kind of hunk who sooner or later had to take off more than his shirt, so he was the first choice to play Adam; and (apparently) a young American tourist billed as Candy (later renamed Candy Cave on the cover of DVDs, or Candy Wilson on American posters) was chosen to play Eve. This time there is a lot of nudity from both players, a little humor and intentions for a more dramatic structure (told as a flashback, with Adam remembering the good old days in a Garden of Eden that has to be seen). It was a hit when released, now it's a funny curiosity.
I saw this recently and I did not enjoy it very much. Having two attractive people walk around naked for two hours in a garden is not really entertaining. Nothing much happens, other than an abundance of nudity. The 1981 science fiction movie "Quest For Fire" did a far better job of depicting an Adam and Eve story, set against cavemen and giant mammoths and waring Neanderthal tribes, and all though I'm no believer in cavemen or Darwin, Quest for Fire was a superior movie in all respects. "Adam & Eve" is nudity for nudity's sake, breasts replacing plot, and that becomes tedious very quickly. If not for the title, this could have been any teenage romance movie.
Curious Bible film from Mexico with Jorge Rivero
This film (the literal translation should be something like "The Sin of Adam and Eve") is really amazing and very special. The Mexican director Miguel Zacarias (1905-2006), who is considered one of the most important personalities from the golden era of Mexican film, tells the story of Adam and Eve relatively faithfully to the Bible. He doesn't skimp on beguiling nudity and bright colors.
As a sort of flashback, we see how Adam and Eve, who have already been expelled from paradise, remember it. Paradise appears as a brightly colored dream place with bright colors and cute animals. The Mexican bodybuilder Jorge Rivero (born 1938) and the American model Candy jump through the charming scenery, completely naked and breathtakingly attractive. Of course, all you can see of the two exceptional beauties is their well-formed bottoms and nothing else that you shouldn't see. But that's enough, Adam's muscular upper body and Eva's voluptuous breasts, which are only barely covered by flowing hair, offer enormous visual value. It was probably only possible to do something like that in 1969.
Little is known about the charming Candy, who later became known as Candy Wilson. In any case, she is a feast for the eyes. Just like the powerful Jorge Rivero, who can look back on a film career spanning decades and in well-known films such as "Rio Lobo" (1970) with John Wayne and Mike Henry and as "Fist Fighter" (1989), where he uses his ultra-hard fists German martial arts star Matthias Hues was badly beaten.
Two beautiful people jumping around in a candy-colored plastic world while holding cute rabbit hearts - what more could you want? And as a bonus, you get to hear the biblical story of Adam and Eve told with almost no dialogue. Not even the nasty snake can bother you!!!
