I am a big fan of Aliki Vouyouklaki and this is one of her best comic performances. She plays Rena, a rich young woman being forced by her megalomaniac father to marry a rich dork. She avoids this by running away from home in Corfu and off to the mainland. On the way she meets good looking but poor Lefteris (Thimitris Papamihail) and falls in love. The scenes where she is disguised as a man to avoid being recognised are delightful and very funny. The film also carries a serious message: that arranged marriages should not be forced on anyone against their will. Aliki is a Greek legend: An iconic, talented and stunning actress who sadly passed away in 1996.

This movie is the best ever. I've seen it over a million times! It shows that a girl will do anything to not have a arranged marriage. Including running away! Plus dressing up like a boy for part of the movie. And hiding from the police.Yet It also shows that parents will go out of their way to find you. Aliki Vougiouklaki gives a outstanding performance as Rena Katsarou (Pipis).Dimitris Papamichael is best for the part of Lefteris.I'd give it Five stars and two thumbs up! It is The must see film for everyone!

One the best comedies that Aliki Vouyiouklaki and Demetris Papamichael (real life couble) did together and one of the best grossing films in Greece to this day (adjusting for inflation, of course).
The movie manages to combine splendidly the comic element with the dramatic and contains very lively and beautiful songs and performances.
Howewer, the script is going to remind you something... Actually, the main plot is a complete copy of "It Happened One Night" with Clark Gable and Glaudette Cobler...
Don't let that keep you from seeing it though, since the sceenplay was beautifully adjusted to the Greek culture and reality. The result of this was the film to create even more freshness and laughter that the American "original"!
