Iva Janzurová, who played Hermínka, was known for filling the waiting breaks during filming with knitting or crocheting. During one such break she crocheted herself a dress for a premiere of You Are a Widow, Sir! (1971) and when the film's costume designer Irena Greifová saw it, she was so impressed that it was used in the film.
In this film Iva Janzurová fulfilled her dream to act with her childhood idol Natasa Gollová, a star of several classical Czech screwball comedies from the 1930s and 1940s.
