The heroes of the film, led by foreman Matvey Doroshenko, decide to fight for the honorary title of communist labor brigade. The guys get to work together. However, the Komsomol members are actively hindered by two people: the cynic Evgeny Levchenko, an unsuccessful inventor and womanizer, and the careerist engineer Kamensky. The Komsomol members believed Evgeniy, but, seeing that his rationalization proposals only caused harm, they brought him to trial before the elder. In parallel, the developing line of Jakov Sereda's adopted son, Miguel. He receives a letter from his parents and goes to his homeland, Spain. There, Miguel tries to win over the churchmen to his side, but he returns to the Soviet Union.
