Rajesh Khanna had an extended guest appearance in the film and two songs were picturized on him. This was super star Rajesh's third extended guest appearance after Andaz (1971) and Anuraag (1972).
There were reports in Stardust magazine September 1984 that Rakesh Roshan and Rekha were getting extra close during the filming of the movie in Kashmir. Pinky Roshan got suspicious and caught Rakesh red handed getting cozy with Rekha. This was when Rakesh had to decide if he wanted to continue with Rekha who was seeing Yash Kohli and Kiran Kumar. Rakesh opted to end his personal association with Rekha right there and then.
