Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us made headlines ahead of its release but it was not positive publicity. The drama that surrounded the film’s out-of-touch marketing, the alleged rift between the cast, and the absence of Justin Baldoni from the majority of the appearances affected the movie’s reputation.
However, another new sci-fi movie had successfully escaped a similar conundrum from repeating. According to rumors, Lively had taken over postproduction of the movie and pushed for her final cut to be released in theatre. On the contrary, Mickey 17 director Bong Joon-ho stuck to his vision, and despite several conflicting opinions, got to create his cut for the film.

When it comes to dating, Tobey Maguire’s proving that age is just a number—at least, that’s what he probably told himself while holding hands with his Gen Z girlfriend. The Spider-Man star’s getting roasted for the serious age gap between him and his young love, and honestly, it’s a bit of a plot twist.

There are a lot of expectations that come with being a celebrity. You gotta maintain your physique, always look the best even when you are about to hop on a 14-hour-long flight, and simply keep your charming self on full display, no matter how bad the weather. When you are someone like Tom Cruise, someone who the entire world looks up to, you just have a little bit more expectations to live up to.

Tom Cruise has always been Hollywood’s dream man, a superstar who makes us all go weak in the knees with a simple smile. However, not everyone realizes the hard work that goes into keeping that smile as radiant as ever. You gotta put your best foot (or tooth) forward even when they literally fall off in front of a guest. Yikes.

A few things Blake Lively and Jennifer Lopez have in common are that they’re both big-name movie stars, married to fellow big-name actors, and have received a ton of backlash on social media.
There’s been a lot of chatter about Lively’s new film It End With Us, which has dominated the box office, and what went on behind-the-scenes with her co-star Justin Baldoni who is also the film’s director. The alleged friction between them has caused each to do their promotional tours separately.
Now, Lively has come under fire and the internet is calling it a downfall similar to what Lopez experienced.

Blake Lively has publicly apologized for poking fun at Kate Middleton‘s Photoshop fail after learning that the Princess of Wales has been diagnosed with cancer. “I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this,” Lively wrote on her Instagram Story. “I made a silly post around the ‘Photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today. I’m sorry.” She added, “Sending love and well wishes to all, always.” (Credit: Blake Lively/Instagram) This apology comes a week after the Gossip Girl vet posted a clearly edited photo of her head on another woman’s body to promote her sparkling soda company, Betty Buzz. The blatantly Photoshopped image, which also featured an unusually large thumb and a floating lemon, was seemingly trolling Middleton’s admittedly edited UK Mother’s Day portrait of her and her three children, George, Charlotte,...

“Act of God,” the opening track of the Gossip’s first studio album in 12 years, has all the hallmarks of the trio’s music: an upbeat disco groove, gothic post-punk undertones, and, of course, Beth Ditto’s soulful voice. So does the next track. And the next. By the end of Real Power, it’s clear that, for better or worse, the album arrives as more of the same.
The 11 tracks here range from shimmery summer pop anthems to chugging disco songs, each as lively and bubbly as the last. “Turn the Card Slowly” features some novel, Hawaiian-inspired slide guitar (the album was recorded in part in producer Rick Rubin’s studio in Kauai), but it feels clunky and out of place amid what otherwise sounds like a typical Gossip song.

Gossip are back: The Portland pop-rock trio have announced Real Power, their first album in 11 years. Ahead of its release on March 22nd, they’ve shared the lead single “Crazy Again.”
For the long-awaited follow-up to 2012’s A Joyful Noise, the members of Gossip turned to megahit producer Rick Rubin at his home studio in Kauai. Recording began in 2019, though the pandemic put halts on the project; it seems like the result was worth the wait, however, with the album described as an “11-track celebration of the galvanizing might of music, the joy of creative expression, and the power of chosen family in the aftermath of collective and personal trauma.”
“When we began, so much about Gossip was about running away — that was always in the music,” vocalist Beth Ditto explains in a press release. “We survived. We came from nothing, and we got the fuck out of there. And...

A Walmart ad touting its Black Friday deals gathered three of the four stars of Mean Girls, with the movies’ Amanda Seyfried, Lindsay Lohan and Lacey Chabert diving into their iconic characters.
The spot, which dropped today, featured the trio as adult versions of the high schoolers they played in the 2004 movie directed by Mark Waters and written by Tina Fey.
In the spot, Chabert’s Gretchen is still trying to make “Fetch” happen except this time as a mom of a high schooler (spoiler: they’re still not buying it), while Seyfried’s Karen Smith is a news reporter still trying to nail down the facts. Lohan’s Cady, who narrates the ad like she did in the movie, is now a high school guidance counselor.

People have been curious about Chace Crawford's love life since his early "Gossip Girl" days. The 38-year-old actor, who currently stars as The Deep on "The Boys," has had only had three confirmed relationships - although there have been plenty of rumored romances, including relationships with "Dancing With the Stars"'s Erin Andrews and "Twilight"'s Ashley Greene. Gossip has also swirled about possible hookups with everyone from "Gossip Girl's" Taylor Momsen to Lauren Conrad, although those are most likely just rumors.
While his relationships with Blake Lively's Serena and Leighton Meester's Blair on "Gossip Girl" were deeply chaotic and dramatic, Crawford's personal love life seems much more laid-back. The actor, who grew up in Texas and made his film debut in the 2006 supernatural drama "The Covenant," was cast as Nate Archibald in "Gossip Girl" in March 2007 and quickly become one of TV's most desirable bachelors.

You have to admire Apple’s literary ambitions, tackling giant contemporary tomes like Pachinko (set in Korea and Japan), Shantaram (India) and, closer to home, the new eight-part adaptation of City on Fire, Garth Risk Hallberg’s sprawling 2015 saga encompassing a panorama of New York City from the downtown club scene to Fifth Avenue penthouses. What links these disparate worlds is Sam (the luminous Chase Sui Wonders), a punk-rock-loving NYU undergrad whose self-published zine may provide clues about who shot her in uptown Central Park on July 4. As she lies in a coma, Fire unevenly interweaves bomb-throwing hipsters, pretentious bohemian artists and filthy-rich developers facing scandalous ruin. You can see why this source material appealed to Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Gossip Girl fame, but the scope proves too daunting a narrative challenge, and they’ve diluted the story’s impact by shifting the time period from gritty 1977 to...

Andy Cohen isn’t happy with Howie Mandel’s surprising new sit-down interview with Tom Sandoval.

Fans of "The Office" have been gifted yet another season of "Superfan" episodes, with Peacock updating the entire sixth season of the hit show with extended cuts. Back in 2021, NBC's comedy behemoth made its way onto the Peacock service after the company paid a hefty sum to pull the series from Netflix. As an incentive for viewers to sign up to the fledgling streamer, Peacock made the entire third season available as extended episodes with previously unaired material.
And while those initial third season "Superfan" episodes were previously available on DVD, iTunes, and Netflix, Peacock has continued to release further "Superfan" seasons that feature all-new, previously unseen footage. Season 1 was given the "Superfan" treatment back in April 2021, before season 2 hit the service a few months later. Once 2022 rolled around, amid Peacock's continued struggles to turn a profit, seasons 4 and 5 were updated, with Craig Robinson and Ed Helms, who played...

Even if you’ve never seen an episode of The Office, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen the “Parkour” scene in video, gif, or meme form. This opening from the season six premiere “Gossip” sees Michael Scott (Steve Carell), Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson), and Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) trying to parkour across the office in increasingly hilarious and barely dangerous ways.
To celebrate the release of more extended “Superfan” episodes on Peacock, the official YouTube channel for The Office released an extended cut of this fan-favorite opening scene that has an entire extra minute of parkour shenanigans. We get to see Michael slam Jim’s (John Krasinski) laptop shut so that he can belly flop onto the conference table and whisper “parkour” directly into the camera. We get to see Michael try to parkour into an open elevator, miss his shot before the door closes, and then...

February ushers in a new slate of movies and TV shows making their way to HBO and HBO Max, from a slew of James Bond movies to the recently released Olivia Colman-led “Empire of Light” to, yes, the Puppy Bowl.
“The Terminator,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Footloose,” “Taxi Driver” and “The Silence of the Lambs” all mark notable library offerings this month, in addition to “Superbad,” “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)” and “Eighth Grade.”
Despite HBO Max pulling a number of originals from its roster over the past several months, HBO Max originals premiering on the platform this month include a Dionne Warwick documentary, an adult European animated series titled “Poor Devil” and “Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special” based on the popular animated series.

Many episodes of The Office started with a cold open. This tactic jumped right into the middle of a story that had nothing to do with the episode’s narrative but stood alone as a mini arc. Many of the cold opens from The Office are fan favorites, including the one from the season 6 premiere “Gossip” where Michael (Steve Carell), Andy (Ed Helms), and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) do parkour. Behind the scenes, Toby Flenderson actor Paul Lieberstein is the reason that scene became as funny as it did — find out why.
Steve Carell as Michael Scott | Peacock/NBC Paul Lieberstein’s directing changed ‘The Office’ parkour scene
According to Lieberstein, who wrote and directed the episode, the parkour scene wasn’t choreographed. He did tell the actors that the goal was to “just mess up the room as much as possible.”
However, after an underwhelming first take, Lieberstein made a change.

Måneskin have many credits to their name. After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, four years after they conquered The X Factor in Italy, the group went on to become the first Italian band to crack the UK Singles Chart. Their pop-rock cover of the Four Seasons oldie “Beggin” has reached more than 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, while “I Wanna Be Your Slave” tops half a billion. Last November, the foursome nabbed their first Grammy nod. But perhaps most impressive in Måneskin’s list of accomplishments is the fact they’re teaching millions how to pronounce the Scandinavian letter, å.
Across one EP, two albums and a string of riotously fun performances – replete in latex, black glitter nail polish and assless chaps – Måneskin have helped restore glam rock to its former glory. Lead singer Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio take their cues,...

“Yes, I’m dying”.
That’s the stark tabloid headline People magazine runs in gigantic letters alongside a photo of Dottie Roman in the first episode of Monarch, Fox’s lavish new musical soap about a ruthless country music dynasty.
Dottie, played by Susan Sarandon with ballsy swagger and a closer-to-God blowout, seethes over the cover story about her own terminal cancer as she primps for her last ever awards show. She’s the “queen of country music” – think Dolly Parton big – and she’s determined to go out with a smile on her face, even if it’s as fake as her outrage. Dottie leaked the story to the press herself, we eventually learn. She probably even signed off on the picture – red lips pursed in defiance, peeking out from under the wide brim of her signature cowboy hat with its diamante band. Everything in the cloistered world of country music runs through Dottie.

In Showtime’s new docuseries “Gossip” a recording of Donald Trump pretending to be his own publicist is played; a story about Tom Cruise’s front teeth falling out during a dinner with former New York Post editor-in-chief Col Allen is told; and 91-year-old Cindy Adams defends her past and present friendships with Roy Cohn, Imelda Marcos, John Gotti, Gen. Manuel Noriega and, of course, Trump.
But beyond salacious Page Six stories and Adams’ questionable friendships, “Gossip,” is at its core an examination of power and how Rupert Murdoch fundamentally shifted the foundation of the news industry via the New York Post and its tabloid journalism.
The four-part docuseries explores how New York City’s most prominent gossip columnists – Liz Smith, George Rush, Richard Johnson and Adams – built their careers and used their power.

Anyone who reads her work knows that Cindy Adams can’t be still.
In normal times, the columnist — now 91 and still publishing multiple times a week — goes out to do reporting for her column in the New York Post. The column is a strange mélange of quotes from celebrities, conservative political analysis, invective against foes real and perceived, anecdotes about the peculiarity of life in Manhattan, and aphorisms and puns. About the only consistent thing about her column day to day is the tone — choppy, clipped, and utterly direct, treating the reader as someone intimate enough with Adams that she can speak frankly, and in shorthand.
It’s fitting that “Gossip,” Showtime’s new documentary series on which Adams is the central figure, takes a similar attitude to its subjects. “Gossip” is, at once, a personal and professional biography of Adams, a look at the rise of Rupert Murdoch as a media mogul stateside,...

As Penn shared, "The most meaningful form of action I saw, as a person who'd been on Gossip Girl, as a person who had at this point hundreds of thousands of followers—yeah, because I got on social media late. Imagine Entertainment, the production banner run by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, has been the subject of renewed acquisition talks in recent weeks, multiple sources told Variety.
Investors and potential buyers include an undisclosed sovereign wealth fund from the Middle East, which has been quietly exploring American media investments of late. Also kicking the tires on Imagine are international banks and a domestic private equity firm, according to two individuals familiar with the discussions. The current valuation being floated is between $800 million and $825 million, sources added.
An Imagine Entertainment spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
The interest in Imagine comes at a time when the media sector is rife with M&a and consolidation activity. Exclusive: Imagine Documentaries has won an auction for the Thomas Healy book Soul City. The plan is to develop the book across multiple divisions at Imagine in scripted and unscripted formats. Soul City tells the revealing, forgotten story of the 1970s attempt to build a city dedicated to racial equality in the heart of “Klan Country,” and the impassioned mission of civil rights leader Floyd McKissick.
