The drama Crossing Over revolves around the hot-button subject of immigration, and does so with a high-profile cast that includes a digitally de-aged but still cranky Harrison Ford, judging by the new poster. The movie comes from Wayne Kramer (Running Scared, The Cooler) and arrives on February 27th, just in time to remind you that the Weinstein Co. didn't consider it worthy of Oscar contention. You can see the uninspired one-sheet and previous trailer below.

The poster for Crossing Over has been released, and there's one thing I really like about and a couple things I don't. The movie comes from director Wayne Kramer, whose Running Scared was not really a hit, although it certainly had a few interesting scenes.
Something about that (and his previous film, The Cooler) has made him an in-demand director, because he's grabbed Harrison Ford, Jim Sturgess, and Ashley Judd for Crossing Over, not to mention a certain current Best Actor nominee who is going unbilled, although his stunt double gets credit.

Picked up three new one-sheets on my poster radar today, and here they are:
The first one is the new poster for Gavin Hood's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," due in theaters May 1, 2009. It's simple, but it looks good nonetheless.
Next up is the final poster for Zack Snyder's "Watchmen," which opens March 6. Definitely something I would put up on the wall.
Finally, the last one-sheet is for Wayne Kramer's "Crossing Over," a multi-character canvas about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles.
It's an excellent poster, by the way. "Over," with Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta ans Ashley Judd, opens Feb. 27.

While it remains to be a slow Friday in preparation of Super Bowl weekend, there have been quite a few posters released today. One of the many to arrive, MGM is showing off their first attempt at Crossing Over.
Crossing Over Poster
Immigrants from around the world enter Los Angeles every day, with hopeful visions of a better life, but little notion of what that life may cost. Their desperate scenarios test the humanity of immigration enforcement officers. In Crossing Over, writer-director Wayne Kramer explores the allure of the American dream, and the reality that immigrants find - and create -- in 21st century L.A.

Ah yes, the subtleties of poster design. Our friends at Cinematical have the official debut of the poster for Crossing Over, the illegal immigrants movie starring Ashley Judd, Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, and Jim Sturgess. The only impressive part of this poster is Ford's very pissed off stare, but other than that, there's not much to appreciate in this. Even the cheesy hidden American flag design isn't that exciting, especially because throwing that onto a poster isn't going to help sell it that well anymore. But then again, maybe I'm not the right audience for this, so who cares what I have to say? Either way, check it out below. If you haven't already seen it, we previously debuted the trailer for Crossing Over in November last year. Crossing Over is written and directed by South African filmmaker Wayne Kramer, of both The Cooler and Running Scared previously, who is...

Cinematical has just received this exclusive final poster for Crossing Over, starring Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Jim Sturgess and Ashley Judd. Directed by Wayne Kramer (Running Scared, The Cooler), Crossing Over weaves together several stories about immigrants trying to achieve legal status -- as well as a better life for themselves and their loved ones -- in Los Angeles. The stacked cast should produce a variety of excellent performances (especially for a film released in February), and the Crash-like vibe I'm feeling over this film will definitely appeal to a lot of folks out there. You can check out the full-sized version of this poster by clicking the box below, and the trailer is available over on Moviefone.
Crossing Over hits theaters on February 27.

Wayne Kramer is known for writing and directing smaller action movies like Running Scared or the immigration drama Crossing Over, but he may be on the verge of hitting the big time with his next project. Kramer has been charged with directing Fully Automatic, a buddy action film following in the footsteps Lethal Weapon. You can tell the movie is the big league because it's being produced by Joel Silver, who launched Lethal Weapon forever ago and remains a big-deal producer, despite Speed Racer. Variety says the film will hopefully start shooting later this year, after Kramer has a pass at the script. You can't blame him for wanting to get everything in order before he makes what might be his big-budget debut.

Wayne Kramer has signed on to direct Fully Automatic, a buddy action film that is said to be in the vein of Lethal Weapon. Joel Silver, whose Silver Pictures launched the Mel Gibson and Danny Glover franchise, is producing. The story follows two rookie cops out to make their mark and who team with a female former Delta Force operative to stop a mercenary who has stolen a cache of weapons. The most recent draft was written by Marc Wolff. Kramer will do a pass on the script. Kramer’s credits include the Paul Walker action flick Running Scared, Mindhunters and the William H. Macy and Alec Baldwin drama, The Cooler. He most recently completed production on Crossing Over, a multi-character drama starring Harrison Ford about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles. It’s set to open in February. Production is slated to begin later this year.

See the trailer for "Crossing Over," produced by C.O. Films, The Kennedy/Marshall Company, Road Rebel as well as distributors The Weinstein Company. No confirmed release date on this one as yet. South African born Wayne Kramer helms and writes the film. Kramer is a highly talented director and writer of films such as "Crossing Over," "The Cooler" and "Running Scared." We loved all of those except for the "Mindhunters" effort which was lacklustre for the most part. In any case, the multi-talented cast alone makes this worthy of a visit. Check out the trailer here!
