Alternate versions
The movie originally ended with Eve giving Shogo a weapon which he used to defeat B.D. and end the war. The producers considered this ending to be ludicrious and chopped it off. The Robotech Movie (which alters the plot so it fits in with the TV series) contains this ending; for years people thought that Harmony Gold got the producers to animate a new ending, but they simply used the original.
