Netflix offers many atmospheric and action-packed space sci-fi series and movies. From epic movies like Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon to unique takes such as Scavengers Reign, this list offers a bit of everything.

Space sci-fi is undoubtedly one of my most popular genres in the world. While Netflix doesn’t have access to some of the most popular space opera franchises, like Disney has with Star Wars and Marvel, the streamer does have more than a few great space opera series and movies. In this list, we countdown 10 of the out-of-this-world things to watch. Let’s take a tour!

Jordan Barclay uploaded his first YouTube video when he was 10 years old. The one-minute and 39-second clip is a shaky, zoomed-too-close camera recording of his laptop screen as he plays Minecraft.

When he posted it, he had no idea that four years later, his channel EYstreem would be generating enough traffic to become a full-fledged business.

In 2012, he filed to have The EYstreem Company incorporated. “And from that point, I was mostly running a business,” he tells Tubefilter. “I filmed maybe three days a week and I would run the business for the rest of the week.”

“Phineas and Ferb” co-creator Dan Povenmire was absent-mindedly doodling on a scrap of paper during a meeting when he realized he had sketched his way into his next TV show: It was a hamster, in a superhero outfit.

Former "Grey's Anatomy" star Kim Raver has found her next TV role.

Raver will star in Lifetime's drama pilot "The Secret Lives of Wives," about four close friends and their marriages, according to the Hollywood Reporter. She joins Salli Richardson ("Eureka"), Lauren Bittner ("Paranormal Activity 3") and Amber Clayton ("Three Rivers") in the cast.

The Reporter also notes that Valerie Cruz ("Off the Map") has joined the pilot as a woman who claims she had an affair with the husband of Raver's character. Jill Gordon (Lifetime's "Five," "My So-Called Life") is writing the pilot, which is based on a book by Iris Krasnow.

In still more "Secret Lives" news, Deadline reports the pilot has cast Callum Blue ("Smallville," "Secret Diary of a Call Girl") and Derek Smith as the husbands of Bittner's and Clayton's characters.
