Featured review
Hovimäki is, no doubt, one of the best historical drama series that portrays the history of Finland. The series might not open up for foreigners, but for a Finn, it's very enjoyable to watch. Acting performances are not always entirely smooth, which is why I reduced one point instead of giving a full 10 ;) Still, Hovimäki is enchanting; capturing the mood and painting a realistic image of past times. The extra drama between characters makes the series more entertaining and the destiny of characters is nicely woven together with historical events.
